Keith Mosse Bespoke Furniture by Philippe Hetier

Philippe Hetier is a native of the French Alps and he first came to Ireland to work with Keith Mosse in 2003. In 2008 Philippe took over the workshop in its entirety and renamed it Keith Mosse Bespoke Furniture Limited. He is a member of the cabinet maker strand of the compagnion organization. Compagnion is a guild like organisation in France which dates back to the 12th Century. To attain the level of compagnion in France illustrates that you have trained for 10 years and are the most qualified that you could possibly be in your trade.

In his workshop in Bennettsbridge, Philippe specialises in making handcrafted furniture in both Irish and imported timbers using traditional, time-honoured methods and techniques. All the furniture is made to order and is designed with the clients to facilitate their particular requirements and reflect their personality and taste through a combination of superb design and exceptional cabinet making skill. All pieces made by Philippe can be expected to last generations. Philippe’s reputation is based on quality and attention to detail, pride in his work, and his ability to meet his clients needs and to make a piece of furniture that lasts for life. In his workshop Philippe designs and makes commissioned pieces ranging from high quality solid wood frame kitchens to spiral stair cases to finely crafted individual pieces for home or office. Philippe offers a complete service to support this including consultation, design, manufacture and installation.

Philippe and his team of highly skilled and experienced cabinet makers consider one of the most important details of your piece is the wood it self and it is for this reason that all wood is sourced through a sister company The Art of Wood Limited. This company is managed by his brother John Hetier and focuses solely in sourcing and obtaining wood for Philippe and other high quality cabinet makers. At all stages Philippe works closely with his clients and involves his clients in the design process in order to achieve their specific requirements. They are welcome to visit the workshop while their commission is in the process of being made giving them the opportunity to see their dreams become reality.
